On Saturday it was really hot again so we decided to all go do something fun. Derek’s roommate’s friend has a really nice boat so we drove out to some lake to meet them there. When we got there his roommate and some other people had already been out on the lake for 3 hours, but they were still up for some more boating so we got on and rode around a little. The boat was super nice, and it was my first time ever being on a boat. They all convinced me to try tubing and finally I gave in. Kylea got on the tube with me and we rode around. It was a lot of fun. They go really fast and we had to hold on to the tube until we fell off. We did it twice then gave everyone else a try. They wanted me to try to wake board but I was too tired and scared so I guess I’ll have to try that some other time. We stayed out on the lake for a few more hours than went home for the rest of the night. It was a ton of fun!

The Lake

On Tuesday a couple of our friends wanted us to go swimming so after we got done with our classes we went up to the lake up at the sand dunes. It was only like 25 min away, and it was a beautiful day so we decided we had to go. The lake was nothing really exciting at all, the water only came up to our thighs, but we still managed to have alot of fun. We ended up getting sunburned because it was so hot, but its nice to finally get some sun since last week it was snowing!

Sunday Afternoon at the Rexburg Temple

It was a really gloomy day today and the skies were really grey. As we drive home from church we drive right past the temple and today as we were going home we thought it looked really cool because of the sky. There is a wide open field right across from the temple and it was all green and it looked like the clouds were sitting on the field. We decided we wanted to go take some pictures of the scenary because it looked really pretty, and of course we had to jump into the pictures and do a little photo shoot. Guitars Unplugged

On Saturday night there was a big concert that they do every semester called guitars unplugged. Its just some students who perform songs either by themselves or with a band. It was really good, alot of really talented people performed. We all went with some of our guy friends. It was alot of fun. Afterwards we all came back to our apartment and made a pizooki. It was so delicious. We didn't take alot of pictures but here are a few.

Black Light Party

On Friday night all the girls decided to go to a huge dance party called the "black light party". It was at some aiport/flight museum in Rexburg. It is just a tiny place but there was alot of room to dance. Just about the whole town went so it was alot of fun. It probably seems like all we do is go to dance parties but thats the fun thing to do around here. Here are some pictures from our fun night!

Salt Lake City Trip

For memorial day weekend we decided to get out of rexburg for just a couple days. Saturday morning me, brittany, kristyne and kylea woke up early and headed to salt lake. We got there sometime in the afternoon and went to the gateway, which is a really nice outdoor mall. We did a little shopping and enjoyed the nice weather there. Then we went to temple square and walked around for a little bit. It was soo beautiful. We then decided that while we were on vacation we might as well do something really fun so we decided to go on a horse drawn carriage ride. We got a really good view/tour of the city. It was really cool! After a really long day of shopping we drove up to Orem where Kristyne's brother and sister-in-law live and crashed at their place. Sunday morning we drove back up to salt lake and met up with our old roommate Peggy. Peggy is from New Mexico and she was in salt lake that same weekend visiting her sister and going wedding dress shopping with her. Peggy roomed with brittany and kristyne in the fall and I roomed with her in the winter and then coincidently enough me, brittany and kristyne all got roomed together in the summer. It was alot of fun!

Group Date

A couple Friday nights ago my roommate Kristyne’s cousin from Pocatello wanted to come up here to go on a date with this guy in our ward. Since they have never really met before we decided to all find dates and make it a huge group date. We all asked guys in our ward. We decided to go “skittle bowling” which is a fun way of bowling. What you do is grab a skittle out of the bag and whatever color it is determines the way you have to bowl. There were crazy ways of bowling like with your eyes closed, through your legs, with your left hand and so on. The picture on the left is before we left. The one all the way on the left was my date. His name was Matt. His brother Ammon, the one on the right, went with Kylea. Kristyne is right in the middle and her cousin Jenny is the one in the doorway.

Then after bowling we went to the grocery store and bought some ice-cream. We thought it would be funny to stick Kristyne in the cart because she is really little and they started pushing her around the whole grocery store like that. Then Rick decided to get in and that didn't work out very well. It was really funny.

After the store we took the ice-cream over to Rick’s house because he lives with his parents in Rexburg. They have a really nice house so we just hung out there after wards and hung out and watched a movie. It was a lot of fun.
